I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario in the late summer and saw the Abstract Expressionist show. The most striking work for me were photographs. I was keen to see Mark Rothko again. I had seen his work at a show in Paris when I was there performing with Evergreen Club. I love his work.

I have always been intrigued by the work of Jackson Pollock, though some of his work misses the mark. But many of his painting have a visceral quality of someone trying hard to do something with internal conflict.
