Summertime – Melody

is one of the most flexible songs to work with. It’s a great tune written by George Gershwin.

If you check on youtube you will find an enormous range of versions of Summertime.

Arranging Summertime

I have created eight different versions, in different keys, time signatures, …

I love the song and it’s a lot of fun to play.

A new Arrangement

Have a listen to this little arrangement I made recently.

Try This

  1. Listen to the audio file.
  2. Try the chords at the top of the chart. Then play them in sequence following the chart. If the chords are easy can you play other versions of the chords along with the song?
  3. Learn the melody, using the audio file and the chart.
  4. Play the melody with the audio file.

Have fun.
