I rented a synthesizer and found a great string orchestra sound. I laid down a slow moving line into a Fostex 4-track cassette recorder. Then I added a pentatonic melody and a series of “open” chords, without thirds, with a nylon string guitar. It came to me like a soundtrack for an imagined film.

  1. Hi Bill,
Sounds great! Very atmospheric, would definitely work as a film piece.

  2. Thanks John. I’ve had a number of abstract videos created for many of my compositions – twelve so far. I plan to release them on my site (via VIMEO) in time. But with Rain, I think it would work in the right narrative film. B
